Jim Who?
Hi. Some call me Jim. I can’t tell you what others call me, and I can’t tell you why I can’t tell you. When I was all of 10 years old, I received my very first camcorder. Okay, technically it was my dad’s camcorder, but I was the only one in the house who knew how to use the thing. And it was love at first frame. In those early years, I made movies about everything. If I needed more cast than just myself, I would hire co-stars in the form of my brother and his friend Charlie. (Recently one of our old movie tapes surfaced. It will NEVER appear on YouTube, so don’t ask.)
I’ve come a long way since 10 years old. I’ve been an actor. I directed a community theatre. Back in my hometown of Omaha, Nebraska (the best town on Earth) I had a regular gig as a standup comedian. I’ve even been known to make a film or produce an event video every now and then. I even married the most wonderful, patient, and loving woman. I still haven’t figured out how I scored that deal. But even with all of this, something was missing.
Then in 2006, some good friends of mine introduced me to YouTube. It was my first camcorder all over again. In the last two plus years, I’ve had a great time with my channel on YouTube. I’ve produced more than 100 videos, ranging anywhere from vlogs to full blown productions. And with about 1,000,000 views so far and counting, I’m not looking to quit any time soon.
So keep watching, and do me a huge favor. If you like the stuff I do, support me by subscribing at YouTube. Right now, it’s all that’s keeping the lights on at my house. And sitting around in the dark might be fun for some folk, but I find it a bit creepy. Got questions? Who doesn’t. Feel free to contact me, and share what’s on your mind. Until then, thanks for stopping by!
